Tall Ship Distillery is a dream come true for owner John Pantelakos. Over two years of 70 plus hours per week of hard work, determination and the unwavering support of Mary his wife of 32 years, family and friends, he was able to open the first liquor distillery in the city of Dover, NH since the 1700’s.
On July 1, 2013 work began on the distillery. It took 13 months of acquiring all of the necessary equipment to produce, bottle and label our products to be ready for inspection. Standing over 11 1/2 feet tall, a hand made 250 gallon all copper still and condenser tank built by the owner himself sits as the centerpiece and workhorse of Tall Ship.
Opening for business on August 28,2014 offering White Island Rum as our initial and flagship product, and the response has been fantastic. Curious individuals on vacation and local New Englanders alike have praised our creation and were excited to be able to purchase our rum directly from us to share and enjoy with friends.
