We are a small family owned and operated maple producer located in Union, NH. The farm is operated by Nick and Cindy Kosko along with our two children Jacob and Abby. We also have lots of family and friends who help us with the work.
One year we decided to tap a few trees with our kids and make a few gallons of maple syrup as a rehab project for cognitive awareness following a severe motor vehicle accident. This project started using a turkey fryer in the back yard, this was a did some research and purchased our "hobby evaporator". This was exciting we could now make syrup for us and friends. After a couple years even this was too small for us. We decided to upgrade our production from a few trees to a few hundred along with bigger and better equipment. From there we continued to expand our operations from a few taps and basic equipment to tubing and vacuum systems over the course of several years.
We purchased a state of the art energy efficient wood fired 3x10 evaporator to meet the exceptional maple products our customers came to enjoy. We also added a reverse osmosis unit, which concentrates the sap and removes the water. And In 2017 we made further upgrades to our facility by purchasing another new energy efficient CDL oil fired evaporator. We make several hundreds of gallons per year in a typical sugaring season.
